About this sailing weather app
One quick look before you rig: wind speed and gusts in knots with their direction, wave height, direction and period, sea temperature, the day's high and low tide, plus air temperature, pressure, rain and cloud. Below that, wind, gusts and waves hour by hour for the next 6 hours, so you can see whether it's building or dying.
It's a web app, so it works on any phone, iPhone or Android, with nothing to download from a store and no account. Your location goes from your browser straight to Open-Meteo, the free forecast service behind it, and never to our server.
Add it to your home screen
Once added, it opens full-screen from your home screen with no address bar, just like a native app.
On iPhone (Safari)
- Open the Weather page in Safari (Add to Home Screen only works from Safari, not Chrome or other browsers).
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up) in the toolbar.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open the Weather page in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app, if Chrome offers it directly).
- Tap Add (or Install) to confirm.
